Selection and Assessment: Which of the three essays that you've written and revised this semester shows the most improvement? What did you do to improve it? Remember that complete answers are better than short answers, focus on your writing (accuracy, appropriacy, content and organization, rather than graphics or other media), and explain at least two major improvements.

[Essays 2-03b: Learning Language for Me]

•  I corrected wrong expressions that my teacher pointed. For example, I changed not to use a lot of different subjects like "I", "we", and "they" and I avoided vague expressions because they prevents readers from understanding my essay much.

•  I tried to make the content not only simple but also detailed. So, I guess the essay is easy to read and comprehensible for readers. 

•  I shortened the content a little as I felt it was so long that visitors of my blog wouldn't want to read.

• I displayed comments in footer widget as I thought it's easier to see than display it in a sidebar or header.

• When I gave my friends comments, I hoped they read my comments and their posts got more attractive! And, I was really looking forward to give replies from them.
• When I receive a lot of comments, I got very happy and sent replies instantly. Especially, I was pleased when my friends gave comments on posts about my private.

Selection and Assessment: Which of those book reviews do you feel is the best that you've written this semester, and why? Remember that a complete answer is better than a short answer, focus on your writing, and give at least two reasons to support your assessment.

• I choose "Jack and the Beanstalk" as my best book review because I could wrote its summary well. 
  
• I tried to write and explain as short words as I can. I didn't wrote much, and I wanted readers to imagine the development of the story.
• In the end, I wrote about Jack's character that helped him to succeed in getting nice things again and again. I think blog readers will refer my opinion about the book.

1. content: I tried to write blog happily so that I hoped readers to read my blog with a joy. 
2. pictures: I often posted with pictures I took because readers could imagine what my life is like.
3. layout: I sometimes changed layout as I don't want readers to be tired of my blog because of the same layout as the previous day. 

5.0. ADDITIONAL REFLECTIONS ON YOUR BLOG AND YOUR WRITING FOR IT

Please feel free to include reflections on both class work and homework, as well as on the content of this portfolio (proto-portfolios, showcases, selections, and reflections).

• I often had difficulties in class work because I'm not good at using computer. However, assistants taught me very hard, so I managed to make it out. 
• Homework needed much time, but I enjoyed to blog. I was glad to be able to make my own blog! I liked to write blog so much.
• I felt it's very hard to complete portfolio. However, it was useful when I wanted to know the information about my blog posts. 

6.0. ADVICE AND SUGGESTIONS FOR YOURSELF, YOUR PEERS, AND YOUR SUCCESSORS

• I advise my peers to write blog constantly,  and then you don't need to hurry up in the end of writing class.
• I should have wrote about many topics, for example, sports, computer, my friends and family, my hometown. I often wrote blog about foods because I like to eat very much. 
• I suggest to my teacher not to use computer for homework as I think it is difficult to use computer for some students who don't have computer at home. Such students are forced to do homework at university only. This is why, I'd like you to recommend homework not with the internet but on paper if possible.

BR2-18: The Tickets

Jerry is given two concert tickets as her birthday present by Jimmy, but she drops them by accidents. Jerry’s friend Kerry picks up them and put her purse. It is lunchtime, and Jimmy sees concert tickets he gave Jerry in Kerry’s purse. What will Jimmy think?

On January 5th

On January 5th, I had a dinner with my friends Aki, Aya, Yurie and Arisa at Montole. I usually eat a lot there, but I was not hungry at that time. That is because I had drunk green tea cream frapettino at Starbucks coffee in Kumamoto city as I was with other friends. Moreover, I ordered the biggest size.
That was why I wasn’t hungry. At Montole, I ordered katu-don, but I can’t eat all. And my friends ate it a little. After all, I took out it as waitress allowed me to do that. I thought I should not eat or drink much before I have an appointment to have a meal with my friends.

Do you like to drive? Or do you have driving license?
I like to drive, and I go to a lot of places. I usually ride car by myself, and I hardly go out by car with my family.


I would like to go somewhere with someone, but I happen to be alone when I want to go out. If I can get my own car, I hope to go places that I have never been to.

Christmas Eve

We had some classes on December 24th in spite of Christmas Eve. In speaking class, most of the students attended. And we listened to Christmas songs. After the class was over, I had an appointment to have dinner with my friends. My friends and I went to a restaurant and enjoyed dinner. We ate much food. And we chatted about a lot of things because it was the last day we could meet last year.

When I went back home, I noticed Christmas cake that my mother bought on the table. It was a chocolate cake. So I tried it. However, it tasted coffee rather than chocolate. It was a little bitter cake. Cake was not good for me, I was glad to eat cake on December 24th.

eating foods

I bought rice bowls two days ago at 100 yen store. In that morning, two of my family broke two rice bowls by accident, so I went to get new ones. I went to 100 yen store with my friend, and I was excited to find many kinds and sizes of rice bowls there. All seemed to be good, and I felt like getting every rice bowl. I spent much time in choosing which to buy, and I could get my favorite ones thanks to my friend's advice. I purchased four rice bowls, and three of all are normal size and one is big size. Can you see they are different size? By the way, the big rice bowl is mine, and I bought normal sized rice bowl for my father. I want you not to be surprise because it is not strange for me. I like to eat very much, and I usually eat more than my friends! However, I would like to try not to overeat as it is disgusting that I can't wear clothing because of overeating. And today I told my friend to prevent me from eating if I'm about to eating junky foods. Since I have had enough money owing to part time job, I have fallen into the habit of buying foods and drinks after school or free time. I guess it causes me to spend needless money and put on weight. I will get rid of my bad habit earlier so that I can save money and use money in different things; what I really want.

Parfait ＊ Ice cream

Do you like ice cream? I guess almost everyone like it, and of course I like, too. Then, do you know this ice cream?! It is sold at everyone of convenience store, and you can buy it for about three hundred yen. Though price is high, it has a lot of volume and you can enjoy various flavors because of ice cream being in layers. In addition, there are three kinds of flavors; strawberry, and so on. When I found this ice cream, I was astonished by height of the price and volume. I hesitated to buy, but I did. For me, it was so delicious!
